<Rik slips down to the common room as quietly as she can, one hand steadying the black flying fox hanging on her shirt while the other holds her
school robes and a small orange. She plans to pull the robes on over her shirt and shorts once she finishes her routine. After 6 years, waking up in
the wee hours of the morning for basic exercises is second nature. The bat she's still getting used to.>
<She's pleased to see the common room empty - though she can and has practiced with others in the room, they usually want to ask questions,
and it breaks her concentration. She drops her robes on a chair near the fireplace and coaxes the bat to a different perch before giving it the
orange.>
There you go, sweetheart. Finish your breakfast. And no landing on me when you're done, at least not until I get through my routine, okay?
<The flying fox nuzzles her fingers before biting off a patch of orange rind to get to the sweet pulp underneith. Rik pets it for a moment more,
then stands behind the chair where she dumped her robes. One hand resting lightly on the chair back, she takes a deep breath and sets herself in
first position. Within minutes she's completely absorbed in the pattern of stretches, movements, and positions that make a dancer's
warmup.>

<She was already fully absorbed in whatever fascinating book she was reading. Whenever she came to a more difficult paragraph (she was attempting
to read the untranslated, Old English version), her free hand -- the one not supporting the ginormous text -- would reach up to scratch her
hair. She did this often, and this caused her hair to become even bushier than usual.>
<A few first years in the far corner began making tittering noises. She immediately sat up and shot them a long, piercing glare. The combination of
the scary glare, her prefect's badge, and the fact that her hair seemed to be twice its normal size shut them up good.>

of. More than once.

<Draco Malfoy? Nice? These were two puzzle pieces that did not fit, in her mind. When she thought of Malfoy, she thought of nasty things, like
snakes upchucking rabbit guts everywhere. When she thought of nice, it was rainbows and rabbits that were fuzzy and cute and not vomity. It was like a

Snape partner him with me in potions. He actually helped me, even Snape said we clearly um. yeah. Then he was joking around with me about
Lockhart. He didn't tell on me when he caught me..doing the Charms project, though Snape would have tried to give me detention anyway...

up quick enough to toss a nod Ron's way. Distracted, but he could hardly ignore the redhead. The timing (and subject matter), made him slightly

You know better than to trust him, Harry. It's bloody Draco Malfoy. No matter what, if he's being nice to you than it means
he's up to something. Unless he's gone bloody mental, too. Which I wouldn't put past his dad, you know. Make his kind mental, easier to
keep in line.

Ron: Its not.. Well, he probably is. It just that he was right. Even if he wanted to stop, Voldemort would kill his dad or
anyone left behind to get to him. Thats if Draco could find someone to help its. Its just one more reason it has to stop.

nodding. Harry bit his lip, uncomfortable with the effort, but grim sincerity shining through the quiet words as he spoke up. He poked at the wooden
